Letný festival svetla v Bad Honnefe - Hovoríme pre BPP.Photography
This summer, the picturesque town of Bad Honnef, Germany came alive with creativity, inspiration, and community during the Summer Light Festival hosted by BPP.Photography. It was a true celebration of photography — not just as a craft, but as a way of seeing, connecting, and expressing.
Mal som tú česť byť pozvaný ako lektor a rečník, ktorý sa podelil o svoj pohľad na fotografiu, tvorivosť a emocionálnu silu obrazu. Keď som stál pred nadšenými fotografmi a kolegami, opäť som si pripomenul, aké dôležité je nielen tvoriť, ale aj zdieľať poznatky a navzájom sa inšpirovať. Vyučovanie je predsa rovnako o dávaní ako o prijímaní - otázky, zvedavosť a diskusie s účastníkmi priniesli novú energiu a poznatky.
The festival itself was a unique blend of learning and atmosphere. The setting sun and long summer days provided the perfect backdrop for exploring light — natural and artificial — and its role in storytelling. Workshops, lectures, and live shoots filled the program, each designed to push boundaries and spark creativity. Beyond the technical side, the focus was on emotion, authenticity, and vision — the elements that make an image truly memorable.
One of the highlights was meeting so many talented photographers from different countries, exchanging ideas, and building friendships that extend beyond photography. Events like this remind us why we are part of this profession: not only to create images, but to build a community that thrives on shared passion.
Bad Honnef, with its charm and welcoming atmosphere, was the perfect host for such a gathering. I am grateful to BPP.Photography for the opportunity to contribute and to all the participants for their engagement and energy. It was more than just a festival; it was an experience of light, creativity, and human connection.
